Good nutrition has been shown to reduce ageing, keep away: Diseases,
allergies, respiratory troubles, skin disorders, digestive disorders,
feeling down in the dumps or depression, mood swings, attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder, violent behaviour… and much, much more.

After eating the right food and having been well hydrated you can feel
that much more energised and revitalised. The necessary related
methodologies, documentary evidence; scientific findings, case
testimonies support all the above claims…

More and more people
are waking up to the realisation that the vital role of nutrition has
been greatly underestimated in health.

-This is my slant on the
food revelation. I predict it will continue to unerringly sweep across
the westernised / industrialised world with all its accelerated
deliverance.

As a general overview of how nutrition stands in
the ‘big picture’ of things, it not only embraces nutrition and health
related matters, but also the medical/pharmaceutical establishment’s
intervention, academia, approval bodies, the wheel of commerce, the
media and political self-interests.

I cannot guarantee the
health of anyone who does not see how the ‘big picture’ works and the
way in which it can have an effect on people’s well being. Without
knowing this, there is more than vulnerability at stake. I could discuss
this in much detail and uncover the truth behind the
medical/pharmaceutical industry and how they place profits above
people’s health, but for now, as I’ve said, I will give a brief
overview.

-What is good nutrition?

To
answer, first it could be said that good nutrition must have all the
elements of a well balanced diet: Having all the adequate nutritional
requirements for healthy growth, cell replacement or repair as well as
activity. The nutritional requirements are carbohydrates, fats,
proteins, fibre, water, vitamins and minerals…

-Fine, but there are certain things the school textbook doesn’t tell you:

No distinction is made between the qualities of nutrition.

How do you know when something is good for you? What are the main
factors that determine whether or not food is healthy or unhealthy? Here
is a list that will help distinguish.

Good nutrition includes

Natural and wholesome foods: E.g. Beans, nuts, fruit & vegetables.
Organic produce which is free from pesticides, herbicides and
fungicides. Good nutrition also includes raw food having little or no
heat treatment. Excessive heat or low temperature from deep freezing can
destroy many vitamins and enzymes and reduce the nutrition value. This
can happen in the manufacturing process with process foods. Other things
to avoid with processed foods are irradiated products which can be as
toxic as some of the mysterious chemicals added.

In addition,
eat less starchy, grainy foods which can cause mood swings caused by
diabetes and erratic elevations in insulin, obesity etc…

Good
clean water is another recommendation. Avoid tap water with all its
chemicals; chloride, fluoride… Drink fresh fruit juices as opposed to
soda pops, coca-cola… that is, those laden with sugar or chemical
additives like aspartame.

Finally, supplements are also recommended for good health.

Creating
food nutrition facts labels and other label copy to comply with the
“Made in USA” standard is not as straightforward as it may seem. There
are regulations that make clear when and where you can say “Made in the
USA” on food labels. When ingredients are sourced and manufacturing
takes place in the USA, the impact for food nutrition facts labels and
other label copy is pretty straightforward. But what are the
implications for food nutrition facts labels and other label copy if
ingredients are foreign sourced but the formula is manufactured in the
USA? What if the majority of food components are from the USA?

Clear and informative food nutrition facts labels

“Made
in USA” is considered to be a marketing claim that applies to products
and food labels, advertising, and other promotional materials. FTC (and
not FDA) regulates this U.S. origin claim to prevent deception and
unfairness on food labels and packaging in the marketplace.

To
include “Made in USA” or “Product of USA” on food labels, FTC has
required that the product be “all or virtually all” made in the U.S. The
term U.S. includes the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the
U.S. territories and possessions, such as Puerto Rico, Guam or the
Mariana Islands.

When products contain foreign components but are
packaged or assembled in the U.S. the concept of “substantial
transformation” becomes relevant for food nutrition facts labels and
other food label copy. U.S. “Substantial transformation” occurs when a
new article emerges with a new name, use and character. For example,
coffee beans that are imported from Brazil but ground, flavored and
packaged in the U.S. can include “Product of USA” on the food label.

Here
are some additional nuances to keep in mind when contemplating the
“Made in USA” or “Product of USA” claim for your food labels. See FTC’s
“Complying with the Made in USA Standard” for more information.

Can you grow taller through height supplements and nutrition? Is it
even possible to grow taller at all when you have passed the age of
puberty? A lot of the people I talk to are highly interested in the
topic of supplements and nutrition but they don’t believe that it is
possible for them to grow taller in the first place. Everything that I
can teach you about height supplements and nutrition is going to be
useless if you don’t believe that you can still increase your height.
Believe me when I say that you still can get taller by doing the right
exercises, sleeping enough and having the right diet. Nutrition and
height supplements go hand in hand. Aside from exercising regularly,
they are very important parts of a healthy lifestyle. Not only do you
want to have a healthy lifestyle for the sake of your health in general,
but also is a healthy lifestyle the best way to increase your height
naturally.

In regards to growing taller, protein is probably the
most important nutrient. Your main sources of protein are going to be
meat, eggs, poultry and also cattle fish. I always suggest adding some
dairy products to the diet, as well. Foods like cheese, yogurt and milk
come to mind here. What is of utmost importance is that you try to avoid
saturated fats as much as you can. Your body doesn’t need them and they
can even harm your body. Don’t worry if you are not very familiar with
the different types of fats. A quick look at the nutrition table is
going to reveal a number showing you exactly how many saturated fats a
food product contains. The point is, not only will you impair your
growth progress by eating too many saturated fats, you’ll also risk
gaining a lot of weight.

As
I have already mentioned before, nutrition and supplements go hand in
hand if you want to grow taller. Firstly, you should concentrate on
having a healthy diet as just described. But many people are still
missing certain important nutrients even though they are eating very
healthy. In that case, you can use supplements to remedy any
deficiencies. In regards to height supplements, you want to focus on
supplements that are going to provide you with nutrients useful to
growing taller. Common nutrients for this purpose are calcium and
magnesium. Without a healthy diet, you cannot make any height progress.
However, keep in mind that a sound diet alone isn’t going to make you
taller either.

Now
a day, No wonder that parents need help to understanding that which
eating plan and food is necessary for kids. Its just because lack of
time and lack of awareness. In that scenario kids nutrition blog are
very beneficial and helpful for parents. With the help of kids nutrition
blog parents can learn some healthy eating tips for kids. Healthy eating tips for kids
is very necessary but many parents ignore it. Proper nutrition is very
important for kids, because with proper nutrition kids grow faster and
live healthier.

Children
have a great appetite in their growing years. Because of that reason
they need more food. So, its necessary that parents should plan family
meals regularly at a particular time. This will help children to eat a
full meal, instead of rapid mini-sandwiches. Don’t go for fast food,
because fast food is enemy of kids. Fast food contain fat, edit
preservative, too many calories, salt and artery-clogging cholesterol.
Which is very bad for your kids. It causes obesity, heart problem and
BP(Blood Pressure) problem.
Lack of knowledge in parents regarding
food causes bad eating plan. Here kids nutrition blog play very
important role. Parents can read blog and they can learn some healthy
eating tips for kids, and you can also apply these tips in your eating
plan which suites child. Kids are terribly picky eaters thats way its
very hard to design healthy eating plan. So plan carefully.

Take advantage of kids nutrition blog
for children, and if necessary seek the help of a nutritionist. Its
Parents responsibility to control the supply lines. It is you who decide
what food is purchased at home and when served. Children do not go
hungry at home because there is what they most want to eat. They will
eat whatever is in the cupboards and refrigerator. Parents must make a
variety of healthy options for kids to choose . It should also encourage
children to try new foods. Do not offer sweets, candy, popcorn and
chips during meals. In addition, soft drinks or sweets should be avoided
completely during meals. Good look is always attractive so always make
sure that your food looks good, attractive and tempting. Make light food
which digest easily.

It can be tempting to stock up on nutrition bars. They’re convenient,
their labels make enticing claims, and they often come in flavors that
sound delicious like chocolate chip or raspberry vanilla yogurt. While
you’ve got plenty of brands to choose from, there can be big differences
between one bar and the next. These are some guidelines for making
smarter choices.

Whatever the label says, many bars are no healthier than eating a
regular candy bar. You’ll be consuming just as much fat and sugar and it
will probably cost a lot more without tasting as good. Examine the
label for sugar and fat content. While serious athletes may need more
protein or carbohydrates, the average American is already eating more
protein than they need. For the most part, stick with bars that
correspond to a generally healthy diet. You should be getting about 45
to 65% of your calories from carbohydrates, about 10 to 35% from
protein, and about 20 to 30% from healthy fats. Opt for bars with higher
fiber content that will digest more slowly and give you more sustained
energy.

No matter what bars you choose, use them in moderation.
They’re no substitute for whole food, which is healthier and less
expensive. Real food contains the phytochemical plant compounds your
body needs like the polyphenols in tea and the isoflavones in soy
products. Experiment with healthier snacks that are still portable like
yogurt, nuts, unsweetened whole grain cereal, and dry soybeans. If you
insist on a steady diet of prepackaged rectangular food items, keep an
eye on how specific ingredients may add up. Excessive quantities of some
vitamins and minerals can be harmful. Talk with your doctor if you’re
taking any medications because even herbs that are generally safe may
interact poorly with certain drugs.

Finally, while you pretty much always know what you’re getting with a
bunch of raw carrots, the labels on any processed food need to be
regarded with more skepticism. Studies frequently find significant
differences between the information on the label and the actual product,
so make sure to do some reading and researching to find the best
nutrition bar that can provide you high fiber and can support you with
your weight management. Go ahead and enjoy the occasional nutrition bar
but focus on eating a balanced diet with a variety of healthy fresh
food.

Here, Swiss Sciences Nutrition will discuss Nutrients and how they are used by the body.

Nutrients
are simply chemicals we all need. They are what makes our bodies live
and grow. Nutrients are essential, and without them our body would not
be able to create or repair damaged tissue. Many nutrients are converted
to energy in the body’s digestive system.

There are a few ways
that nutrients can be classified. They can be either organic or
inorganic, they can be either macro nutrients or micro nutrients, they
can be considered either “essential” or “non-essential”, and they are
also classified into substances that either “provide energy” or “support
metabolism”. The main classifications of nutrients are: carbohydrates,
proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, and water. One of the things Swiss
Sciences Nutrition does is to study these nutrients and their effects on
the body.

Organic nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins,
fats, and vitamins come from the materials of other living organisms
while inorganic nutrients are “non-living” substances such as water,
oxygen, and minerals.

Macronutrients are required by our bodies
in large quantities. Some examples are carbohydrates, protein, fats, and
water. Micronutrients are only required in tiny amounts like vitamins
and minerals.

Nutrients that cannot be created by our body’s
chemical processes are called essential nutrients. It is necessary to
receive these types of nutrients through consumption of food or
supplements. Nonessential nutrients are created by our bodies.

Nutrients
that provide energy include carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. They
nutrients are broken down in the body’s digestive system and turned into
energy. Nutrients that support metabolism include dietary minerals,
vitamins, and water.

A brief rundown of the different classes of nutrients is as follows:

The Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates
can be classified as either simple or complex and are the nutrients
that include sugars, starches and even fiber. Carbohydrates are the main
ingredient of foods such as wheat, rice, corn, noodles, bread and other
grain-based products. Carbohydrates can have a negative effect on our
health if consumed in too large a quantity, however, they are an
important part of our daily diet. Simple carbohydrates are highly
processed. They include sugars and starches and can have seriously
negative effects on our health when consumed in large amounts.

Fiber

Fiber
is included in the carbohydrates. It can be classified as either
soluble or insoluble. Fiber is a part of foods like whole grains,
fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Fiber has many health benefits and
improves digestion in several ways by moving food along the digestive
tract and slowing the absorption of sugar, which helps lower blood
glucose levels to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Proteins

Proteins
are made up of amino acids. These are required to produce the
substances that make up muscle tissue, skin, and hair. Enzymes are also
created by proteins. Enzymes are important substances which control
chemical reactions in the body.

Fats

Fats are classified
as being either saturated or unsaturated. Animal fats are saturated fats
and are recognized by being in a solid state at room temperature.
Vegetable oils are unsaturated fats and are liquid at room temperature.
Saturated fats are not usually as healthy for us as unsaturated fats.
Unsaturated fats are also broken down further into omega-3 or omega-6
fatty acids. Trans-fats are unsaturated fats that have been
“hydrogenated” and become solid at room temperature. Trans-fats are the
most unhealthy of the fats and are, if fact, quite detrimental to our
health.

The Vitamins

Many vitamins are considered
essential nutrients. They cannot be produced by the body but need to be
be ingested in food or through supplements. Many diseased can occur as a
result of vitamin deficiencies – among them are cancer, immune system
weaknesses, and osteoporosis.

Minerals

Minerals are
substances required by our bodies that are not found in organic
molecules. Sodium and calcium are just a couple of the many minerals we
need in our diet. Minerals are often artificially added to our diets in
the form of supplements.

Most foods contain a mixture of the
various nutrient classes. Many nutrients can be stored in the body.
Others must be ingested on a daily basis. A deficiency of the required
nutrients can lead to poor health. It is the recommendation of Swiss
Sciences Nutrition that we consume a well balanced diet which includes a
satisfactory amount of all the necessary nutrients. Some of the highest
quality nutritional advice, information, and products are provided by
A disturbing trend in Western medicine has been noticed lately. Lots
have been written about how over-testing and over-treatment can prove to
be harmful. Often it has been observed that long term use of medicines
or frequent testing result in adverse side effects which again demand
medical attention. This has become a real issue which needs to be taken
seriously.

While there are certain ailments which can be cured only with
aggressive treatments, certain chronic diseases can be best treated with
preventive medications. This is the reason why many patients are
turning to oriental medicines and treatments to get rid of specific
ailments permanently. In fact such treatments have proved to be
extremely helpful in relieving pain and inflammation as well as reducing
stress and cravings. If suffering from sleep disorder, fatigues,
digestive problem or depression then you can get relief by visiting any
reputed acupuncture and nutrition clinic. Apart from these, a range of
gynecological, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological and
dermatological problems can be healed too, by the oriental medical
practitioner.

Prior to contacting the acupuncture and nutrition
clinic, you should have a basic idea about what benefits and services to
expect. The best part about any well known natural health center is
that it comes up with personalized acupuncture treatment and nutrition
coaching after analyzing your specific condition. In addition the
practitioner provides chart of herbal supplements and exercise training.
Certain lifestyle changes are also recommended. Their ultimate goal is
to equip the patient with enough knowledge and tools so as to help
maintain the progress and objective of the treatment and consultation
sessions. They understand very well that every patient have his/her
unique need. Thus the practitioner designs the accurate treatment plan
for each patient, which helps cure the particular problem.

The natural health clinic conducts nutrition response testing which is a
scientific way to analyze the patient’s body condition. This is the
test which reveals if any of your body organs or glands is stressed and
needs nutritional support. However this process of evaluation is very
different from its Western counterpart. Practitioners of acupuncture and
Oriental medicine are so distinct that they can detect health problems
in their earliest stages thus preventing grave illness from setting in.
Once the practitioner finds any imbalance she develops the personalized
program for health improvement which comprises of acupuncture, Tui-na,
herbal therapy, along with food supplements and lifestyle suggestions.
The good thing is that these treatments don’t put a hole in your pocket.

To experience the full potential benefit of acupuncture and
Chinese medicine, be sure to visit a licensed acupuncturist and oriental
medical practitioner. As demand for alternate medications is on the
rise this has resulted in many entering the profession but without
necessary expertise. So, you need to adopt a cautious approach. Explore
website of the acupuncture and nutrition clinic to know in details about
its areas of expertise. Opt for a preliminary consultation with the
acupuncturist to clarify your doubts about acupuncture techniques and
related medications. If you have a busy schedule then request for a
convenient healing session, matching your time frame.

Just cause you are eating healthy does not mean you can eat a lot.
You should always watch the amount of food you eat as part of any weight
loss plan. Bigger portion sizes means more calories.

Reduce the size of your meals by a third, and you
will see a reduction in calories. This is an effective measure for those
who want to lose weight and eat less.

When choosing breakfast
foods, you should avoid cereals that are loaded with sugar. There are
many unhealthy additives to these cereals that will only impede your
progress in the day. Try oatmeal for a quick and healthy breakfast that
will keep you feeling full far longer than sweetened cereal.

Consume
as little salt as possible. A diet that is high in sodium can lead to
many health problems, such as high blood pressure. Eating a high-salt
diet can also damage bones, since more calcium is excreted in the urine.

You
know the “high fructose” part of “high fructose corn syrup?” Fructose
is a kind of sugar, and it is especially bad for you, so avoid it. A lot
of condiments have it, so always read the labels very closely.

One
of the easier areas to find low calorie substitutions is dairy
products. There are many substitutes you can use that will save on fat
and calories. For example, if a recipe for dip asks for sour cream,
substitute plain yogurt. Try using evaporated milk that is fat-free in
the place of heavy cream. Cream cheese can be traded out for ricotta
cheese. You can make these substitutions and still enjoy tasty foods
that include dairy.

Change
your nutrition habits slowly and gradually. Often, people begin to
change their diets and do too much too fast. The result is usually a
return to their old bad habits. Start out slow with any changes with
what you eat, you want to make it last. Try changing out tea for more
sugary drinks, and eat some fruit instead of that pack of chips. You
will eventually acclimate yourself to these things. Each of the small
steps you take to eat better will add up to a big pay-off.

Sodas
are a beverage that should be avoided, since there is no nutritional
value in them. Sugary beverages, such as soda, contain a considerable
level high-fructose corn syrup and the after-effect will be high amounts
of sugars taken in. Citric acid, found in some sodas, can deteriorate
the enamel of your teeth. Sugar and corn syrup will also cause bacteria
to form on your teeth. This will create an acidic effect on your teeth
and accelerate their deterioration.

Try substituting french fries
for baked potatoes when you are creating meals for your children. Cut
the potato into two pieces and jazz up each piece with cheese, veggies,
and condiment to make two cheery faces.

Buy seasonal products in
order to gain the maximum nutritional value from the food that you eat.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables of varying colors, because they are
filled with vitamins your body requires. Buying produce within season
allows you to get the most for your money.

Hopefully this article
has shown you a few ways to help you on the right track nutritionally.
By genuinely considering the ideas in this article, you can gain a
healthy perspective on life and improve your nutrition. By making these
changes, you are creating a better future for yourself and your family.

This
article is a brief discussion on proper nutrition and the importance of
a healthy diet, provided by Swiss Sciences Nutrition.

Nutrition
is essential in providing your body’s cells the necessary materials that
support life. The sciences of nutrition look at the metabolic responses
of your body in relation to the particular foods you eat. An
understanding of nutrition shows that many of the health problems
afflicting us today could be avoided with a healthy diet. When examining
the sciences of nutrition we investigate the steps that our body’s
cells take after digestion. We see when they change the food you’ve
eaten from one form to another. This is a process of your body’s
metabolism.

The science of human nutrition has been slowly
evolving. A healthy diet is very important for both maintaining and
improving your health. Simply put, a healthy diet has been shown to be
possible by eating fresh, unprocessed foods rather than processed foods.
Maintaining a healthy diet includes eating a sufficient quantity of all
nutrients and enough water. This will require a good balance of
carbohydrates, proteins, and fats as well as vitamins and minerals.

We
cannot overestimate the importance of a healthy diet to our health.
Maintaining a healthy diet is very important. It can go a long way in
the prevention of diseases like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. A
healthy diet will also go far to improve your mental health. Research
shows that eating healthy nutritious food can improve memory and other
brain functions. Swiss Sciences Nutrition is a provider of much
information on healthy dieting.

Healthy diet guidelines:

Choosing
a diet with a foundation of starchy foods such as rice, with plenty of
fruits and vegetables is a good start. With the addition of protein like
meat, fish, and chicken – and some milk and dairy foods you should get a
sufficient amount of nutrition. The key to eating a healthy diet is
maintaining the proper balance of these nutrients: a variety of
different foods in the proper proportions.Avoiding too much sugar, fat
and salt is also important.

There are five different food groups.
Eating a proper balance of foods from these groups daily is the
essential foundation of a healthy diet. The recommendations of Swiss
Sciences Nutrition are to consume a proper balance from the five basic
food groups. The five groups are: Grains, Fruits and Vegetables, Meats
and beans (including eggs and fish), Milk and Dairy, and foods
containing fat and sugar.

Fruits and vegetables: Vegetables: 2.5 cups daily, Fruits: 2 cups daily

We
recommended you consume five portions per day of fruits and vegetables.
A 1 cup per serving measure is a good gauge. This should help lower the
risks of heart disease, stroke and cancer.

Grains: One third of daily food intake

Foods
like bread, rice, potatoes, corn and pasta – the starchy foods – are
the foods that should make up the greatest portion of your diet. It is
important to consume whole grains as they contain the fiber our bodies
need to aid digestion and nutrient absorption. They are a good source of
energy and provide our bodies with fuel.

Meat and beans: About 15% -20% of daily intake

Meats
and bean provide good sources of protein. Additionally they contain
several vitamins and minerals like iron, zinc and B vitamins.Protein is
essential for cell growth and repair.

Milk and dairy: 3 cups a day

Milk and dairy products including cheese and yogurt are great sources of protein.Dairy foods are also a major source of calcium.

Fat and sugar

Fats
and sugars should not be consumed in large quantities. Consuming too
much fat or sugar causes the body to consume more energy than it burns.
This leads to obesity and increased an risk of diabetes, heart disease,
and cancer. Fat consumption should be limited to mainly mono and poly
unsaturated fats with smaller amounts of saturated fats. You should not
eat Trans Fats.

Being healthy is one of the most valuable aspects
